I just downloaded all the pix and took a much closer look. It would
be really easy to argue that this is a flood salvage car. The door
panels are the most glaring thing, but the theme set by the carpet
stains is repeated with small brown stains on various bits throughout
the interior in unlikely places. It would appear that the entire
interior has been apart, even the front seats themselves seem to have
been disassembled to some degree. In one of the pictures, the
passenger side front door handle/armrest is off. The rear seat is not
completely "seated" in place. There seems to be an air freshener in
the back deck. Many of the interior parts seeem faded as if they sat
outside of the car in the sun. The wood on the passenger side door
panel seems faded as if the door had been left open for a long time
where the sun could really get at it. Or it was laying on the ground
along with most of the rest of the interior.
Under the hood there are two strange things... the vacuum routing
sticker shows a path to "Beam High Control Only". And there are two
extra rubber baffles on top of the plenum cover that seem to limit air
from going to the left or to the right. I don't recall ever seeing
either of these two items under the hood of any other V8.
The appearance of fading could be due to flash photography. The
thingie in the back window may not be an air freshener and even if it
is, it doesn't necessarily mean that someone's trying to cover up a
musty odor. The interior may have been largely disassembled wholy or
partially here and then, now and then, for various reasons. The rear
seat slightly askew could just mean the car has sat around a bit
before they resorted to eBay and it needed a jump.
Nevertheless, this is one car that should be seen in person before any
money is shown.
Can anyone run a Carfax on it? wauke54c9mn001536
