[V8] Antenna amplifier

Hi all ,ever since my radio was liberated by the people my reception with the new radio has not been as good, so what turns the amplifier for the antenna on? Is it a connection on one of the two radio plastic connectors ,if so which wire/color. I just do not want to fry anything. Thanks George
