... both the '91 5-speeds in my driveway have standard headers on both sides
... no bellows ... I will confirm that the crossover pipes on the 5-speeds
are different from the pre-'92 automatics ... I haven't checked TFA, but I
wouldn't be surprised to hear that the crossover on the 4.2 automatics are
different than the 5-speeds ... routing appears to be highly dependent on
the shape of the transmission ...

As Scott mentioned there is a bellows in the driver
side header on the 4.2's. & on the 3.6 it's smooth as
is the pass side. One exception though are the 5spd
cars. Everyone I've seen have had the bellows on the
driver side as the 4.2 headers do. & the intermitant
pipe is the same as the 4.2's, not an "X" pipe as the
3.6's.
