[V8] Knock sensor question

This is probably referring to the contact pins ... there are three contact
points, so if any of your existing pins are usable you would need less than
3.  The wording sounds a lot like the switch over to the gold plated
contacts ... I remember something like this on the '88 5kCSQA.  The old part
had contacts other than gold, but the replacement had gold pins.  Audi
recommends that you modify the mating connector in the wiring loom to have
gold plated contacts as well.
