If you are having screeching, no high volume , popping ... this is a
direct result of the caps being gone/internally damage/broken etc .
Sometimes there is no visible damage to the caps. I've rebuilt five amp
boards and only seen one with physical damage .

If that is true, you also might take them out and look for a cap
(typically a cylinder, standing up) oozing a bit of goo or looking
bloated. Remove, procure similar, replace.
Yes, BOSE are car specific. The whole point of BOSE technology is to
pre-equalize for the ambient environment.
