[V8] The reluctant Ignition key...

Mine does the same, after I replaced the MFI on the trans (cold, wet, and 
dirty). I've also experienced this in some older American cars. If you put 
it in park, and it doesn't go *all* the way, it won't allow that last 2mm or 
so of key travel. I usually give mine a nudge forward (after putting it in 
park) when I want to remove the key.

I believe there is an adjustment in the console to slide the shifter assy 
back and forth.
