Did some cross reff...

V8 rod bearings 077105701C are also the same as any audi v8, including the a/s6 a8, rs6, but vw 16v same number..no c suffix

But, I would think the c would have no affect and if I remember correctly you can stick 16v parts in a 3.6...

Is there not a crossover from the 16V 1.8 VW motor ? -I think the wrist  pin, 
and rod journals are the same- in fact so are the rods...IIRC. Might Start  
there- I know those bearings can be had for pretty cheap.
