I know it's too little, too late, but...

I only found it necessary to loosen the lower fuel line to remove the 
valve cover.  Removal of the lower air box, valve cover breather hoses, 
and the loosening of that lower fuel line allowed me to wiggle the cover 
out.  I ended up having to move all the other wires and hoses a bit too, 
but removed nothing.
