[V8] Wheel question

Cool....those look like the rims I'm inquiring about.....they're on the 
local Craigslist here. Guy said they were off a 97 or 98 A4. Pardon my 
ignorance, but offset is how far they stick out, right? Does it really make 
a difference....the A4 rims and the V8 rims?
