[V8] V8 Prices (Current and Future)

Realistically, the V8Q has just about ZERO chance of reaching any
significant collector price, IMHO. Lest we forget that it is a 4 door
C-dan, nothing THAT revolutionary about the model in general, wasn't a
massive influence in racing, and even today, most people I've come across
(not Joe 6 pack, but people anyone would consider Teutonic-philes) don't
even realize the car exists. This last one is important, because a major
factor in future value of high end cars is youthful desires being
fulfilled in later life (when you ain't po no mor.)

They'll be a bargain drive for those of us who horde a few for parts ;-)
and know how to work on them.

I've noticed a strong downward trend in the price of many a Teutonic
"classic", too expensive to keep well maintained and the new stuff is
just soooo much better/faster/purdy'r etc. than high end 15+ year old
money pits. The pleasure/$$ ratio doesn't make sense after a while. Not
talking about asking price here, but consummated deals.

Now if our beloved V8Q's were convertibles, 2 doors, or had been
homologation builds etc. it would be another conversation.

Just being realistic here, and hoping that I'm proven wrong in the
future.
