[V8] V8 prices: set to rise?

In order to get this "price rise" set into motion. I have decided to sell my
1990 V8. It is the best car I have ever owned, as well as by far the most
fun and comfortable to drive.
About 1.5 years ago I was willing to sell for about $2800, but to facilitate
the increase in value of the V8's , I am now willing to part with it for the
"fine" price of $4800.00.
If others follow my lead, we can make the value of one of the finest
vehicles around change the trend and increase in value.
This is not unlike what the unions have done over the years in calling a
strike. If ALL of us will increase the asking prices for our cars, the value
will rise. Of course we will have to buy up all the V8's that are being
undersold and re-offer them on the market at the "CORRECTED" prices. We also
may have to wait for awhile to see the trend reverse. But ~most likely~ it
will...
Just a thought...
Maurice

A few of you guys might know the story of how I got into v8's...my old 20v
avant...this it. Before the spun rod and before keith started to pull parts
off the motor, this the ad was when I traded the 20v for the v8 to him:
I am forced to sell my most prized possession. I am currently stuck in
Colorado and cannot afford to ship this car back to Ohio to repair. 2.5bar
pressure transducer crapped out. The engine has a spun #4 rod bearing
because of this. No ignition advancement under boost. I am the 3rd owner
from 215,000 miles. I have invested massive amounts of time and money into
this car and I no longer can afford to keep it. I am trying to gain some
money back. I am missing the front passenger side door trim. There is a
paint chip on the hatch and exposed metal behind the front wheels.
Everything is listed below. I will also consider trades for this is my only
car.
. 238,xxx miles
. Black Panther Metallic on Platinum Comfort seats
. Autometer Gauges in instrument cluster(boost/vac, volt, oil pressure)
. Custom Auto Craft smoked tail lights

Heck, from the look of it, I'd bet the seller could even arrange that...
