When I do pre-purchase inspections on audis, no receipt for timing belt
service, it's not done, PERIOD. On a v8 that job is almost 1800 retail (using
the 'skip bo' logic: retail selling price = retail repair price deductions).
I've had a lot of owners somehow produce the document for TB servicet after I
explain that to them. There usually is a reason why it's not shown, cuz it's
due or overdue.... Same problem.

On a 94 v8 with 56k, I'd assume it wasn't done unless some document or
carfax says so. On a 94 with 56k without the document, I sure wouldn't be driving
it home. I tend to make calls to customers when 5 years is up....

Nice car, but mileage can be good or bad. Ck trans seals....

I read the e-bay ad on this '94.

Se states he checked the timing belt. I doubt it! It also states that
there are NO RECORDS.

I later see his bashin the V8 by saying - "Most V8's are high mileage,
tired, neglected heaps of junk full of problems. Come and see this one, it's most
likely going to be the nicest you have seen or will ever see."

Good luck getting that asking Price! Someone should call "Dan" his phone is
in the ad.

Scott.
