On some cars the nut that hold the outer CV to the hub, is a 27MM hex,
and depending on if the car had a wheel bearing replacement, it could
have gotten that large allen head, which I believe is a 17MM. 

The triple square that Tim is talking about is used to unbolt the inner
CV joint, from its mounting hub.

Does anyone know what size the axle bolt is on a '92 V8.  It looks  
like a female allen.  Finally getting
started on removing my d*** strut assemblies.  Any help is always  
appreciated.
