[V8] Exhaust

The cross-over pipe and cats on the automatic and 5-speeds are completely
different ... for the reason you mention ... to work around the
transmission.  I have no BTDT, but I'd imagine that an automatic car with a
5-speed could probably still use the automatic cross-over and cats because
the underbody of the car is set up for them.  I know that multiple automatic
cars have been switched over to 5-speeds, but the one thing that seemed
toughest to me was fitting the 3 pedals in the driver's footwell.  I'd
imagine the changes involved there might make the automatic crossover and
cats incompatible ... 

... so, if CAC did a V8 exhaust, would it be for an automatic configuration
or MT?

OBTW, I've got a 6-speed from an S6 sitting in the garage ... anyone worked
a 6-speed into a V8Q?  I'm most interested in what I'm going to need to do
with the shifter and linkage ...

And just to clarify (smiley face), if a tranny changeover is among your
plans, I'd probably sort that out before the exhaust, beings as how the
final routing of that section of exhaust would depend on the trans in the
car.
