[V8] Ah...the TR's...

You feel the pain less acutely at age 17 (but I don't think the 8's were out
then, and I certainly couldn't have afforded anything close to new). The
common sense aspect I had not considered.

My cousin had (at various times) a 3000, a TR4, and a bug-eye Sprite; his
buddy had a Fiat (124?). He was the source of _my_ infection.

My financial ability, my awareness of the liabilities of that particular
model, and the early signs of common sense all sort of magically intersected
at about the right time I guess and I never owned one.

I still think it would be cool, but not cool enough to suffer the pain.

I wasn't going to admit this, but I had a Triumph as well. Just not
the one you want to jump up
and claim. I had a red 198? TR7 my junior and senior year of high
school. Almost bought a GT6,
but was gone the next time I came back.

The TR7 was fun, but not near as fun as the TR6 or GT6.
