[V8] Tire size for 17x8 rims

Yup 255/40 Kuhmo MX's on my ol OZ Sup's. Not lowered
though. But I looked at it & found there would be
plenty of room if I had lowered my ol Pearl V8.
 
I'm running 18x8.5 BBs LM's
 aka 8 8 5's..long story ;-)....with 255/35/18 tires.
Looking for 265/40 tire to put on. Lowered on front &
rear 2Benn coil overs ;->
