Well, I have run 235/45 17's and they read 0.7% or thereabouts too
slow. The 255/40 17's will read about 0.5% too fast and 225/45 17's
about 0.7% too fast. All negligible differences in rolling diameter.
Those 255's should (IMO) be run on 8.5" diameter rims. Otherwise on
8" wide rims I'd stick with 225 or 235 rubber. I've run offsets of
between ET35 and ET 15 without rubbing issues -- OK, maybe fender
liner at the ET15 limit ;-D
Pics with 235/45 x 17 tires on 17 x 8 Compomotive ET30 MO wheels:
I believe these were with 15mm spacers = ET 15 on the 200q20v (same
suspension/track)

Same with the V8 (except without spacers)
