To me engine swaps don't make sense, unless you are doing it for a magazine
article.
The cars are cheap enough for the same $$ as a swap you can buy one of each,
which is where I ended up about 5 years ago.
Here's a pair of '93 vintage. I do feel like I am driving "classics" but
they are modern enough.

In today's SUV and mega-build standards the V8 feels like a hopped up 4-door
compact. The interior and the outside dimensions are tight. You could say
it's a small car.
