[V8] Audi Heat or rather, Well, that didn't work...at least not yet.

Changed out the suspected faulty flappy motor. Easy, if a bit awkward.
BUT. No heat, and I wonder if I might have a faulty head control in the
dash.
I am getting a clicking noise from up in back of the speedometer, or perhaps
a bit to the right.
When I put in the “new” replacement flappy motor and energized the system,
the motor made the lever move all the way to the left, or front position, so
I know it is getting electricity and is working.
Any one know how to test whether or not the controller unit in the dash is
actually working properly? It changes fan speeds, and selects
appropriately, just doesn’t seem to send the right signal to the flappy
valve motor to open and close.
Also I am not sure how the sensors in the dash and the headliner work, and
if one or both of them might have a corrosion issue that is working against
me.
Thoughts anyone?
Roger
