[V8] CC Head Unit

Based on the position of my butt cheeks, the left-most three buttons 
(Off, Econ, Bi-Lev) will sometimes work.  If I hold my eyes just right, 
they'll stop working.  I have yet to find any pattern as to why they go 
in and out.  They'll work fine for weeks then completely stop responding 
(all other buttons work fine at all times).

And since the illumination leaves a lot to be desired, I was planning on 
just replacing the entire head unit.  Is this feasible or cost prohibitive?
