[V8] ECU CONNECTION

I have a '93 V8 Q with 165,000 miles.  Car is in excellent condition  
mechanically and cosmetically.  I am unable to pull codes from  ECU.  Using Pro Diag 
and the message from the application says the 'ECU is  not responding or is 
not present'.  The application will pull the codes for  the HVAC, Transmission, 
Airbag.  Any thoughts or solutions?
