[V8] BilsteinHD front install?/rack band-aid

Hi everyone, last thing on my repair list was the front shocks.  Have  
set of BilsteinHD shocks(thanks Ron) and noticed that the bilstein  
screw cap is smaller/no groove for boot, than the stock boot's I  
ordered.  Bilsteins site shows whole strut assembly with their blue  
boots.  Looking for info on this and any other helpful info/warnings  
before I dig into it.  Manually searched the archives with no luck.   
I also had a ripped steering boot, and not wanting to remove rack  
till it leaks/has problems, cleaned boot w/acetone as well as possible 
(using a tampon on a screwdriver for the hard to reach spots) and  
glued the bellows together with black 3M weatherstrip adhesive and  
turned rack till boot was squished.  Pulled on it hard today and it  
seems pretty bomber....Sincerely Tom Laplante
