[V8] The Black Mariah departs...

My preference is for a 3/4 Ton truck. They are so useful for a whole lot of
things in all seasons up here. That being said, the long wheelbase of a
full size truck is a lousy plowing platform for my purposes, and the actual
amount of plowing that I do, does not justify paying more for the truck than
is necessary: I do not make money plowing, just plowing myself and my own
properties is all that I do.

In the end, I expect that I will re-engine and re-engineer The Runt a bit,
and plow with it this season and perhaps next. When my wife and I build the
new house, we may do something totally different, as we will live about
thirty five miles away, the only purpose for the plow will be to plow our
own long driveway. I might even hire that done, or buy a tractor and plow
to do a whole lot of other things.

Roger, Having sold Ford, Chevy and Dodge trucks I will say that I will stick
to a Ford. It seems they had less mechanical problems (techs would speak in
favor of the Fords). Dodge were notorious for tranny problems specially
before Daimler got a hold of them. If you are going to plow I suggest, if
you can afford it, an F250.
