[V8] Oil for the ZF4HP24 automatic transmission

I know that ZF specifies synthetic Dexron II ATF for these transmissions.

I have been running semi-synthetic Dexron III ATF for about four months.
Will the transmission be damaged in any way? The transmission shifts very
smoothly, and feels just like new. The transmission itself has done
about 62000 miles.
