[V8] Front Brake Lines

  It's been a long time since I have posted.  As Ron W. knows my V8 has been sitting for quite some time, awaiting its rack replacement.  Well, a friend and I finally dug into that task today (not a real good time).  But we have made some headway, and now are awaiting some parts in order to start reassembling.
   
  I do have a question though:  the front brake lines are cracked and I have started looking for replacements.  Any other similiar model has front brake lines in the twelve dollar range, yet the ones for the V8 are forty six?  Any reasoning behind the price variance?  Is there a line from another model that might work, but maybe is a slightly different length?  I am hoping someone else has researched this in the past.
