Hello everyone

Thank you all for the feedback!!

I did some repair on the areas mentioned, and here are the results:

a) Front Suspension: Upper struts, bearings, boots & bump stops changed
(GermanAutoParts- good prices- Anthony- good service). Everything else
changed previously.

All noises from the front suspension are gone and ride is great again,
(thanks Tony/Bastian/David/Steve) but on uneven cobblestone or crossing
railroads still "something" makes a strong noise and it feels a bit on the
steering wheel, not always and not very strong but...

I wonder where should I start looking!!! Comments?

b) CAT Light: I've adjusted the sensor and the light was still
blinking, so I looked for the relay (upper auxiliary relay panel->upper
line-> second from the left) and took it out. The light sill comes on
contact but blinks no more.

(Thanks Steve)

c) Mode Selector: Something strange happened: I've tried it a couple
of times (to show the mechanic and it worked perfect, but at night when I
turned the lights on, the bulb of the switch didn't come on. Looked closely
a few times and it came on & off at different times but the transmission
mode worked fine since then. I wonder if the switch itself
might have a short!!! Comments?

(Also appreciated are comments on how to change the bulb of the shift
mechanism)

In the other hand, I took out the IC, no pins unsoldered only the two
plastic legs of the little monitor were broken but still sits there held by
the pins (I believe is going to be there for a while) so I cleaned
everything with a contact cleaner and assembled again. So far, everything
works.

In regards to the ABS light, two front sensors were measured and cleaned and
they seem to be Ok. Disconnected the fuse, the relay and the module and the
light was still on. The switch is brand new, started to play with it and the
light came off but erratically comes back on for a while, ???

I wonder how do I pull the ABS codes!!! Comments?

Again, thanks to all for the help

Comments appreciated

Leo
