[V8] ZF transmission overhaul

My first V8, a 1990 Tornado Red/black car with relatively low mileage gave
up its transmission, and I had the only ZF dealer in northern New England
come, pick up the car, haul it away and have their way with it.

It came out well, although they had never seen an Audi Quattro transmission
before.  They said it was like the transmission used in some Jags and upper
level BMW's, but with the front wheel drive pieces added.

It was VERY expensive, although almost eight hundred dollars was in the
pinion gear set, as they said the transmission had "been into" before.

In Europe, I would suggest contacting ZF direct and see what they recommend.
