[V8] 92 Audi V8 headlight question

The bulb-out warning is triggered by any difference in the headlight wiring--even if you relay the OEM DOT V8 headlights you get the warning every time you switch from high to low beams. It beeps and then shows the bulb-out icon.
I used the Ingo/Igor jumpers to stop the warning on both V8 and 200 cars I relayed or Eurolighted (V8 DOT lights are fairly good if relayed), so I don't know about the relay tab thing.

I'm not sure what zeon was a misspelling of, but assuming he meant
Xenon, the conversion could have entailed a few different things... but
I'm getting the impression it did not involve any hard wire changes,
except perhaps relays put in-line.
The bend-the-tab-over deal refers to the conversion from US DOT to
E-code lights only, no?

But...
If the mechanic was supposed to wire it back up normally, in the stock
configuration, then he must have done something wrong if you're getting
an
autocheck error.
