I would be checking out that the electric Rad cooling fan is working right . 
1) check that you get continuity across the fusible link . ( if not move on to 2 , if good move on to 3 )2) check that the fusible link is in good condition ...if not take it out and give it a light sanding at the contact points ...give the contact area a little sand to. 3) get a 100ohm resistor .
