 Thanks Scott!
I was looking for the down and dirty fix I remember reading in the archives, which I got in a private email.? Bend over pin labelled with a k on the relay and the problem is solved.? Bend it back if/when the US lights go back in.? In my case it's the low beam that's at issue, the high beam doesn't trigger the light/warning.

As an old prorally driver and pretty picky light install guy, I'm not convinced you need 4 relays in a H4/H1 or H4/H3 euro light circuit.? When I did my 5ktq lights I used? 3 relays, and installed in the glove box, I never replaced a relay:?
1relay for the 55w low beam pair (110w total pr/13v = 8amp load on a 40amp relay)?
1relay for the H4 65w outer high beam pair (130w total pr/13v = 10amp load on a 40amp relay)
1relay for the H3 100w inner high beam pair (200w total pr/13v = 15.3amp load on a 40amp relay)

Inside the light housing I separated the outer/inner high wiring to a separate pins on the back of the lights, and used a fog light switch to enable/disable the two inner high beams with the high beam switch.? This gives 2 modes of brights, 130w of H4 (no inner highs) or 330w of H4/H3 (outer and inner highs) for excellent night vision.? I find both sets of highs can be too reflective in rain/fog/snow situations.

For the trip this week, I'm just running 1 relay for the lows and 1 relay for the H4/H3 highs (230w/13 = 18amps on a 40amp relay), and will configure the above next week.

I'll do a complete write-up on this job after my trip.

Thanks for the quick responses.

Scott..

It's a simple load checking circuit. As you are only using one relay for
both high beams, the other side is seeing "no load" and tripping the
warning lamp. You can do what KB says or you can add split each low beam
and each high beam gets its own relay. The hot lead to each of the stock
lights becomes the trigger for the related euro light's relay.
