[V8] Signing off...for good.

Well V8 fans....after 18 years of Audi V8 ownership, I saw my car drive off in the hands of its new owner today.  A young guy who is connected to the Audi nuts over at Karmakanix in Berkeley came over with cash in hand and made me an offer I couldn't refuse.  Actually, while it was sad to see the car go and hear the rev of the V8 as he sprinted down the street, I sensed the genuine thrill in the new owner's voice as he thanked me for selling him the car and shut the door, pink slip in hand.  
 
I always wanted this car to end up in the hands of an enthusiast and I feel comforted that it has.  He has plans to drop about $3k into the car (mostly cosmetic) and use it for years to come.  It should be a great ride for him.
 
Thank you everyone for your support over the years and the informed and spirited discussions.  Few forums I know of have as informed and helpful group of subscribers as the V8 forum.  The collective wisdom of this group demystified many aspects of this car and made it an affordable car to own and drive.
