A big +1 to that idea!? I replaced the lines on the back of the motor when I started to smell fuel.? Working with my mechanic we found very fine mist was leaking from one of them under hard throttle.? Better safe than sorry!!!

I suspect I lost my '91 TQA #2 to a ruptured/slpit fuel hose. I was on the highway, and by the time I could pull over and park it, it was fully engulfed.
