Reading all your information I would agree that the fuel pump is a likely
cause.  I have yet to see a flywheel sensor that won't come back to life
once things cool down ... and I have had a fuel pump give up the ghost while
driving.  

When my BiL was driving #2 the "Christmas tree" was due to a timing belt
failure ... of course that's not the case here ...

Good luck!  I hope you didn't have a full tank when the pump went!  :-)

I ripped out the fuel pump and am going to check it later... I had no
fuel pressure in the lines so that is likely what it is.. I did hear
humming in back.. my RPM sensor is working I did more testing.

No explosion I am still here ;-)
