by any chance was this "guy" robbie?

got to be.  robbie is a nice guy and talks more than my wife (that's a
lot!).

another source i just thought of for brake pars is rusty cullens.  he
specializes in old mercedes but sells parts for most euro brands.  i have
bought a fair amount of parts from him since 1990 or 1991.  never had any
negative issues.  of course there is scott mockary (sp?) too.
