[V8] 93 V8 sunroof

Same backwards operation from the passenger side key lock as well.

I am familiar with the manual crank of the sunroof and it is now closed.

Another weird malady with the car that occurred last summer was the a/c
would turn itself on. Not the climate control system itself, but the a/c
function/compressor would come back on after I manually turned it off.
Someone mentioned at the time something about a loose Kostal connector, but
nothing more was discussed or investigated by me at the time. I can only
recall this happening one day and it did not seem to be repeated again
afterwards.

Not sure if there's possibly any connection there, just more info in
general.

Do these with the infrared remote control and the double turn to unlock
manually with the key also have all the same hard linkages, etc. inside the
door as say, a 1990 model? I ask because I believe there is currently no
mechanical connection inside which to me is evidence of unperformed
maintenance or worse, hamfisted repairs carried out, which is my belief and
represents something to investigate and rule out if nothing else, as long as
the temperature rises about bone-chilling today.

It seems every one of these I buy has had an entire cast of ham-fisted
monkey lads probing its tender innards very inelegantly, brusquely, and
often completely ineffectively potentially not even fixing what they went in
after, but almost without exception mucking up something else in the
vicinity.

What connection, if any, might these functions have with the ignition
switch? I ask because it was the last thing done before I bought the car
and in fact it seemed as if it had to be redone by the seller before he
could ship the car, so I'm a bit suspect of that repair, though I fully
realize it could be entirely unrelated.

Well, at least the sun's out... that's a good start.

In regard to battery power, this all happened relative to a 60 mile drive so
I don't suspect any low voltage issues (one suggestion made yesterday). I
also read yesterday on SJM's site about low voltage causing weird window
behavior in urS-cars though so it was not completely off topic, thanks.
