[V8] Fuel evacuation

You will either need the Fuel pump (FP) removal tool, or I heard a large adjustable pliers can remove the fuel plate on top of the tank. Stay Safe! Watch sparking. I machined the tool out of a PVC plumbing fitting.
I used carb cleaner to soak the FP for 2 days. It did not free it up. I then used Marvell Mystery oil (MM oil) to soak for another day. I barely got it to turn by hand (Careful use a plastic rod or something soft to not scratch, no screwdriver). Then I proceeded to run the battery voltage forward and reversed. It eventually starting turning slow at first then faster and faster. Soaking in oil as i put a section of hose on the output port and fed that back into the tank of MM Oil. I did buy a new Ball valve for the top of the FP.
Hope that helps.
Scott.

Good call Scott, I am traveling down that same path now. As I
indicated in my response to the list the car has been sitting for
about 3 years. Looks like I will start with the FP and work my way
forward.
Thanks,
John
