[V8] Toxic part??? Hot Glass

 IIRC, more than that, barium in the getter, tungsten in the filaments and various other nasties.


 
It can now be done more cleanly but I think the big issue was the old machinery was very dirty and the new ways of doing it cleanly are very costly.? Not that much demand for what used to be a $1 tube selling for $90 using cleaner tech.
