Happy 2008 for everyone.

It's been a while and I still owe beers I don't forget, all you have to do
is show up here in hot Buenos Aires (over 105 every day & humid too), and
collect.

 

I was reading the comments in regards to the problems with shipping, and all
over the world is the same situation with carriers & customs nowadays (not
only Germany).

The are entities that regulate transportation terms & conditions in the US.

I believe if "the shipper" sends under your account, & get insurance on the
package with you as the recipient & beneficiary, you can claim and no
problem, still takes long and is not easy, but..doable and you are the one
to receive the money.

Another way to do these things more safely is by contracting a guy to pick
up inspect and arrange the shipment, but who's going to do it for so little
$$. That's what I do but for importers on container basis

In any case if the seller gets the full refund all he has to do is pack it
better & ship it again, but....

The real problem might arise if for example a German chocolate comes with
the shipment and customs notices it.  If you are lucky they'll let you go
without major penalties but that is only in the US or maybe Canada too. Try
not to have that problem here because is called "smuggling" and is very
expensive to fix (the penalty is jail).

 

Anyhow, the main reason for this e-mail was to say hi and wish you (and all
the V8 victims like me) a good 2008.
