[V8] transmission filter....

Apropos of nothing, and a long time ago, as in the stone age, when my 1990
V8 transmission died a horrible death (It was horrible: it wouldn't back up
at all!), I had the car towed by the ONLY ZF transmission authorized dealer
in northern New England. They towed the car on the second attempt...the
first was when they sent a tow truck that wanted to tow my car by the
nose...to Portland, since the Bangor facility did not have the tools
necessary to work on the transmission.

Anyway, I was told that the V8 Quattro transmission was the same
transmission that was used in certain Jags and high end BMW's...minus the
front drive portions.

Back from vacation......

.....you are correct. It was a 750iL that I looked up to get the
"correct" filter and gasket. There are no MB's.
