[V8] Euro Light bulbs

I just bought used headlamps on Ebay Deutschland.
Seemed like a good price, (40Euro each), but when you add the  
shipping and the lousy exchange rate, it quickly mounts up. :(
Anyway,
my lights are already relayed, but I wanted to know what bulbs the  
Euros take?
I also seem to recall that there are some fiddly problems to overcome  
with matching the connectors. Anyone know what the issues and  
solutions are?
To avoid the rainy days "Are my lights really on ?" syndrome, I was  
going to put in some brighter 100W  bulbs.
