[V8] Euro Light bulbs

I owned a VW Santana (Quantum in the US) a few years back. I relayed the
lights, and used H4 100/90w-bulbs.
Since the reflector on the Santana are steel, they didn't melt or anything.
On should think that the light output would be about 65% higher due to the
increased wattage, but it isn't so.
I've chosen to stick with the ordinary H4 55/60w and H3 55w-bulbs in my V8.
New lamps and the eBay relay-kit I've shown you guys a few times now. Works
wonders.

That`s correct. Also, these 100W bulbs are not really your best option
when it comes to giving the "best" light.
Oliver over at www.Audi100-online.de and the Type 44 forum
(www.group44.de) did do some "scientific" tests (complete with
professional diagnostic equipment!) and it was determind that the best
bulb for "our" cars is the regular wattage "Philips X-treme Power".
Apart from that, you risk deterioration of the reflector coating with
some 100w bulbs as they give off a great deal of heat.
Check here for bulbs and plug'n play relay sets:
http://www.audi100-online.de/Forum_/Shop/body_shop.html#Beleuchtung. If
you already have relays, try to get those bulbs.
