[V8] Audi Dealership

I know where you're coming from. It seems to me that Audi does't want
anything
wan't anything to do with older cars. How long can I get the UFO discs for
my car?
Not long, I imagine.
I also own this '83 Ford Granada 2.8i Ghia, a Ford only sold in Europe.
I can walk into the dealer and say what I want, and the part may be out of
production
(hey, it's a 25 year-old car), it may also be out of stock in Germany, but
my local
Ford dealer has the ability to search every single Ford dealer throughout
Europe for
the part I want! And do I have to pay shipping from let's say Spain? No.
Are there discounts for old parts? Yes, sometimes as high as 90% for "old
and out of production parts".
Tell this to your local Audi dealership, and they'll laugh you in the face.
I'll be happy to get the parts, when I have to change the wires for
handbrake or as earlier mentioned the UFO-discs in a few years.
Maybe I'll just place the car in a barn, and buy myself a Merc?

I have a local friend who I met through The List. He had just bought
a V8 5spd (since sold). He has owned nothing but Audis for some time.
We have done timing belts together, etc.
He recently bought an early 90's BMW 525i wagon on eBay for 1900 bux
with about 230k. He has been putting all the little things right such
as the rear hatch and it's separately opening window glass, all the
trim and the struts, etc.
He has been able to buy every single little bitty trim piece, clip,
etc. from the local dealer, receiving them in a matter of mere days,
and paying so far less than 50 dollars for 30-40 items.
Compare this to having to CONVINCE a fucking Audi dealer that a model
exists, and there is no argument that Audi is screwing their loyal
owners. Period.
Last week I started a very deliberate and serious search for an 02-04
A6 2.7t. I learned about them I figured out what I want etc. I even
found one about 60 miles away that is the right color and has the
right options and is a Certified Pre-Owned car. I'll be damned if
I'll even go look at it. Suck on it, Audi.
