[V8] Rear Fog Light Switch???

My 93 4.2 

It should turn on extra brighter rear red light's)  . Have you checked
the wiring around the hinge area of the trunk ? This is usually the
problem are with lights at the back of the car ... A wire breaks .

Does the Rear Fog Light Switch do anything?

I have tried it on all of my V8's and it doesn't seem to do anything.
(The switch?does light up).

I checked the manual but it doesn't really explain anything.
