hey, i have done a number of HID conversions (10+). learned a few things.
ALWAYS, buy JAPANESE, USA or GERMAN MADE parts. Not stuff made in china
with a japanese or german name. always use a lense with a CLEAN cut off, or
clear altogether (FFR or Projector). LEARN the differences between an "R"
and an "S" style bulb (application depending). If possible, buy "digital"
(i know a coined term) circuitry and get as close to 4250K bulbs (the suns
Kelvin rating). sorry, would go into more detail, but overseas and don't
have the time. OH, one more thing, RELAY THEM. does not make for anything
other then startup. but during startup, HUGE amounts of power are used.
claimed startup on most systems are 55-65W and usually no more then 20A, but
i can tell u that is NOT true. I have put gauge to it and seen the startup
spike as high as 30+amps in cold weather (did not know cold weather makes a
diff). blows stuff fast.
