Yes. When your car has the factory infrared remote lock, the "bulb"
emits only infrared light. There`s no visible light like with the standard key that you get without the remote lock option. I guess the engineers thought that with the remote, there wouldn`t be a need for providing illumination for easier keyhole access.
Check your owners manual for the "learning" procedure - it is covered in detail there.
