I would try a drain and refill to see if it was just fluid level.  Go get a
gallon of no-name ATF at Autozone or whatever and on level ground pull the
trans drain plug, when its' done replace the drain plug and pour the gallon
in through the AT dipstick tube and see how it goes.  That method is
generally recognized to ensure the trans fluid is at the correct level
without the need for a dipstick to check the level.
