Haven't tried that but I replaced hose in past 1/2 year with brand new one (old one soft and ballooning under pressure).....some of the brake lines to the rear of the car are somewhat corroded....but right rear brake working appropriately???

Gunter,

Have you tried opening the bleeder valve while the brake is still hot
and locked?

Had a 280SL which showed this same problem. The brake hoses looked good
on the outside, but were swollen almost shut on the inside, where of
course you couldn't see them.

Stepping on the brakes forced sufficient brake fluid through the hoses
to apply the brakes, but it couldn't come back, so the brakes stayed on
- I went through a set of front brake pads in less than 20 miles!

Opening a bleeder while the brakes were hot and locked got me a squirt
of brake fluid and promptly unlocked the wheel, until the next time I
stepped on the brakes.

Replacing the rubber hoses cured it immediately.

Best Regards,

Mike Arman
(Whose V8Q doesn't have stopping problems, but seems to have a going
problem today.)
