Roger, Ed, and all,

The problem with the belts is typically not a breakage issue. What happens 
is they stretch to the point of flooping, and either skip teeth or the teeth 
come off. Seen it on a LOT of cars, not just V8's.

As for the "would I do the trip", I would without question. No hesitation 
whatsoever. Like someone on the list said, just don't covet other cars 
within 50 feet of your V8, or you will be pulling heads ;-)
