[V8] ABH using lots of fuel!

I was just wondering... back in april, when the car startet to use lots of 
fuel (when the heads where rebuilt..) I also replaced the voltage regulator 
for the alternator. The old regulator was a 14V, I replaced it with a 15V. 
Could this somehow have damaged the electronics? Everything seems to be 
working okay...
