[V8] Length of ownership and who's making it to Carlisle...

I have owned my V8 since 1995, bought her at the local dealership, second owner, 80,000 miles on the clock. She's got double that now, and I still love driving her. Occasionally I toy with the idea of selling her, but can't bring myself to go through with it. The Coupe GT is my daily driver, and so the V8 gets driven once or twice a week. I wish it could be more, but 87 octane is at $3.19 here in south central PA, so her road time is limited.

I tried a couple of 2.8's along the way (an A6q Avant and a Cabriolet), bought 'em, drove 'em, but never enjoyed them like the V8. The Coupe is a staple in the fleet. It's another car that I love driving, even with all of 110 hp. I have sold many Coupes over the years, and always end up buying another. This one I have now is a keeper, much like the V8.

So, now that the rack has been replaced on the V8, and she's running well, I guess there's no excuse for me not to bring her to Carlisle again this year. I think I had her there was in 2004, but I believe I was the only V8 that year.

Hope to see some fellow V8's again this year, so who all is planning on attending this year?

  Cheers,

  Ted H.
